A quasi-renaissance person, the author, Tom Billings, is now semi-retired from a career as a management consultant and senior corporate executive in various industries including newspapers, theatre, computers, software, and membership organizations.

Back when a few dinosaurs still wandered the face of the earth and after a stint at Deep Springs College on a California cattle ranch, he earned both a B.A. with honors in political philosophy and an M.B.A. from Harvard before venturing into the real world.
